Reading this book brings me back to 5 year ago, playing with my Pinnacle Card, bundled with AdobePremiere 6, and my handycam. However, after I broke my handycam and sold my Pinnacle Card, I never edited any videos.
Okay let’s get into the book. The first four chapters don’t offer anything new, just a quick rundown on editing workflow with Adobe Premiere CS6. After years not using Adobe Premiere, I have to get used to it again, however I haveno problem at all, it is just like riding a bicycle.
The next chapter surprises me, creating visual effect in Adobe Premier CS6? No way… no After Effect? That’s right, you don’t need After Effect. You don’t have to export and import to After Effect. Doing export-import, back and forth between Premier and After Effect gives me a headache. No more headaches. Creating Muzzle Flashes, Laser Beams, and Clones without leaving Adobe Premiere CS 6 are now possible.
What more Premier CS6 can do? Well, chapter seven has the answer. Fixing Audio and Visual Problem! Back then, I had to back and forth between Audition and Premier to fix audio problems. That gave me a headache. What about visual? Premier CS6 has lots of “fx” for your video. You won’t know how to use them until you read this book.
Last but not least, the last chapter explores on how to finish editing your video (rendering your video to a DVD, internet or other media!). This chapter explains everything.
Overall this entire book is great. It is easy to follow, you won’ get confused while doing the exercise, because it’s practical and concise. That is very important, because I often lost track after doing exercise for several minutes. Push your skill to the limit is true. But I remind you this book is not for beginner; it is for intermediate level.
Okay that brief review. Thanks for reading.
